Brussels is only a few-ish hours drive or a two-ish hour plane ride from most of Europe. And I guess we’re already halfway to the rest of the world. So since European airlines usually have insane deals most of the time, I’m always looking for an adventure.

Side note: I’m sort of obsessed with hotels and travel mags about new hotels. Not over-the-top luxury, just cool decor & architecture, friendly, read-your-mind service, a fab bar, some fun or quirky detail (like how our room key at The Thief hotel in Oslo was also a ticket to the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art next door, and the 10 decadent, full-sized bottles of cowshed spa products in our bathroom at The Ned in London). Sometimes we’ll rent a house or apartment, but there’s something about staying at a chic, hip hotel that adds an extra sparkle to our trips. We don’t always knock it out of the park (that’s for sure!) but I’ve included some of our favorite places in case you love hotels too.
